How it's calculated

The formulas

  1. Remove the retailer margin from MRP

    Net = MRP − (MRP × Retailer margin ÷ 100)

  2. Take GST out of the net amount

    PTR = Net ÷ ((100 + GST) ÷ 100)

  3. Remove the stockist margin from PTR

    PTS = PTR − (PTR × Stockist margin ÷ 100)

Worked example

MRP ₹100, GST 5%, retailer 20%, stockist 10%: net is ₹80, PTR is 80 ÷ 1.05 = ₹76.19, and PTS is 76.19 − 7.62 = ₹68.57.
